# Metal Rice Hat

A rare experimental prototype created by hackers to power wearable devices and augmentations with untraceable solar power. Unfortunately, the effectiveness of the device has only been proven in a test setting using artificial UV light, as Mega City's "exhaust layer" that hovers above the center of the city has diminished the capability of solar panels in the city. The potential of the tech remains compelling, and some have acquired the hats in anticipation of trying to get beyond Mega City's walls, where they theorize a different type of atmosphere may exist in the absence of the exhaust layer.

Regardless of the solar power features, the ability of these hats to carry low-profile tech has led to runners adapting them for everything from portable data storage to surveillance deflection.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://lore.chainrunners.xyz/trait-lore/metal-rice-hat.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
